1. I am an SEP™ working in Europe and I would like to become an Assistant. What do I start with?
If you are a Certified SEP™ who would like to become as Assistant, please check the requirements set in the Standards and Guidelines for SE in Europe. You can find this document at the EASE webpage in the “Accreditation guidelines” section.
Please find the list of the European SE™ Associations here:
https://somatic-experiencing-europe.org/associations/
In case there is no SE™ Association in the country where you would like to work, you can ask an Organiser in this country. The list of the European SE™ Organisers is here:
2. I am assisting in SE™ trainings and would like to become a Senior Assistant. What shall I do?
If you would like to start your path to become a Senior Assistant, please email to office@ease.eu.com. EASE accepts applications for becoming a Senior Assistant 1 and Senior Assistant 2 in Europe, and we will send you all necessary information.
3. I am an SEP™ working in Europe, can I join EASE?
The European Association for Somatic Experiencing (SE)® (EASE) is the umbrella organization which unites Trainers of SE™, National Associations representing SE™ Practitioners (SEPs™) and the Organizers offering SE™ Trainings. Therefore, as an individual practitioner you can not join EASE, but you can stay in touch with the European SE™ field by joining a National SE™ Association in the country you work in.
4. What is the amount of individual sessions and supervision hours required to become an SEP™?
The required amount of individual sessions and supervision hours in Europe differs across countries. EASE Bylaws set the minimum requirements for receiving an EASE SEP™ Certificate as 15 personal sessions and 18 supervision credits. To get to know the required amount in the country where you plan to study and work, you should ask an Organiser of SE™ Training in this country.
5. Can an SEP™ with the Certificate from SEI work in Europe? And what about ABT Certificates?
The SE™ Certificates are accepted everywhere in the world no matter where you received your Certificate.
6. I am an SEP™ and I would like to be added to the list of practitioners at EASE homepage. How can this be done?
If there is an SE™ Association in the country where you live, you can contact it and ask to be included in the list of SE™ practitioners. In case there is no SE™ Association in your country, you can write to office@ease.eu.com for further information. Information on each European country’s SEPs™ can be found at EASE homepage in the “Find the practitioner” session:

7. I am a Senior Assistant (Case consultant) in the USA/Australia/Brazil and I would like to become a Senior Assistant recognised by EASE. What shall I do for that?
For Non-European accredited Case consultants (Senior Assistants in EASE) the ESAC (European Senior Accreditation Committee) decides on exceptions for accreditation. A Case consultant needs to send a document to ESAC to prove the fact that they are accredited as Case consultants in another region of the world. For case consultants (single or group) accredited before 2014 no special approval is required, as long as the accreditation is still valid. If the accreditation has been issued after January 2014: in addition to the document mentioned above, the Case consultant has to send a video showing a case consultation either in English or in their native language with an English transcript of the case consultation. The video can be made available by a GDPR compatible online technology. The fee for the video application is 150€. Please file your application to the ESAC address listed at EASE contact page or send it to office@ease.eu.com.
8. I am a Senior Assistant Level 2, who would like to become an SE™ Teacher (Trainer). How do I start a Teacher’s track?
To enter an SE™ Teacher’s track, please contact EASE office at office@ease.eu.com. We will provide you with all information and contacts necessary.
