The Foundation for Somatic Experiencing in the Netherlands (SEN) – Netherlands

The Foundation for Somatic Experiencing in the Netherlands (SEN) has as its goal to promote the thoughts and ideas of Somatic Experiencing in the Netherlands and the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium. Also the foundation’s wants to spread the vision on the origin and healing of trauma. SEN informs potential clients about Somatic Experiencing, and at the same time reaches out to professional groups and educational institutions that are active within the field of health care and to other organizations that are dealing with trauma. The foundation organizes the training for Somatic Experiencing Practitioner since 2007 and provides continuous development training programs in Somatic Experiencing. SEN also provides support in several ways for the graduate SE Practitioners in the Netherlands and Dutch-speaking Belgium. All trainings SEN organizes at the moment are delivered in the English language and are therefore also open to an international group of students.

Ethos: The traumatic history of Ireland, throughout the generations, has a profound impact on how we live today. The resilient process of peace building requires energy, interest and curiosity in the present and hope for the future. ISE maintains that because the SE approach through its focus on the integration of terrible events, releases energy for engaging with life as it is being lived. SE Spain is offering the SE trainings since 2013. It was founded by Fuensanta Muñoz de la Cruz, Rolfer, who met Peter Levine in 2002 in Corfú, Greece. During the past 20 years, she has been organizing Trainings and Workshops. This training offers the unique experience to “embody” SE in nature; we are located in El Rompido, South Atlantic coast of Spain (very accessible from international airports)The fact that it is a residential training allow the students to “live an immersion process”.
