More Information

Currently, there exists a significant gap in research pertaining to the efficacy of the Somatic Experiencing (SE) approach. In collaboration with EASE, the Danish Research Committee has undertaken the development of a research project aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of Somatic Experiencing in mitigating Posttraumatic Stress symptoms and promoting mental health well-being among both young adults and adults. This study employs a naturalistic, client-centered methodology, emphasizing practical application rather than a methodological approach. The primary objective is to establish practice-based evidence, focusing on the effectiveness of the SE approach as determined by therapists who employ it based on its appropriateness for individual clients. The intention is to substantiate the efficacy of SE through empirical observations derived from real-world applications.
