ISE was established in 2012, as a not-for-profit a Community Interest Company (CIC) with primarily social objectives. It is a company limited by guarantee and regulated by The Office of the Regulator of Community Interest Companies in England. Ireland SE CIC provides the first complete 3-year Somatic Experiencing training in Ireland. The training is accredited by the European Association for Somatic Experiencing® [EASE] and Somatic Experiencing International® [SEI].

The aims of Ireland SE: - to enable SE trauma support to be available and accessible through-out Ireland - to provide accessible training in Ireland where previously it was necessary to travel abroad for the training. - to develop understanding of the effects trauma in Ireland, through clinical practice, information and research. The training programme, curriculum and assessment, follow the requirements of the European Association for Somatic Experiencing (EASE) and the Somatic Experiencing International (SEI).
