Mariëlle Maaswinkel

Mariëlle Maaswinkel is a licensed therapist in a private practice for body-oriented psychotherapy and faculty member for Somatic Experiencing®.

After finishing the Somatic Experiencing training in 2011, she has assisted different SE teachers in SE-trainings and in post-advanced SE courses in the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Italy and Finland.

She was a board-member for the Dutch Somatic Experiencing organization for many years and helped create a Dutch circle that organizes annual meetings and SE-post-advanced workshops for SE students and SEP's.

Her career started as a professional classical singer specialized in ancient music and movement. She graduated from the Royal Conservatory as a performing classical singer.

She continued her education and received certificates in clinical psychology and emotion focused therapy.

Her further studies and interests include NARM, Neuro-Affective Developmental Psychology, SOMA Embodiment and IFS Therapy. In all her professional activities Somatic Experiencing is the foundation and organizing principle.

As a SE teacher her focus is on creating a safe and inspiring learning environment that can support social engagement, connection and new options.

The forest, lakes and waterfalls in Sweden are her main resource of inspiration that she loves to share with her family, friends and Golden Retriever.

She is based in the Netherlands and in Sweden and is fluent in Dutch, English and Swedish.

Mariëlle is available for group-supervision for SE students and SEP's.
